Connection types

From "Settings" in the top bar you find the printer section with "USB", "Bluetooth", "Network" and "System printer":

  • USB: for computers and Android devices that support OTG. Pick the printer from the list.
  • Bluetooth: pair the printer in the device settings first, then pick it in the app.
  • Network: type the printer's IP address on the shop network and its port.
  • System printer: any printer defined in the operating system, suitable for A4 paper or printers without ESC/POS support.

"Printer status" shows "Connected" or "Disconnected". Press "Test" to print a test page; "Test print done" appears on success.

Paper and behaviour settings

  • Paper size: 80 mm or 58 mm for thermal printers, A4 for the system printer. It sets the rendering width.
  • Print margins (mm) for system printers.
  • Print receipt automatically: prints right after payment is confirmed, without asking.
  • Preview before printing: a "Print preview" window shows an image of the receipt before sending, with a "Print" button.
  • Open cash drawer automatically: sends the drawer kick to the drawer attached to the printer with every receipt.
  • Print language: the default receipt language; it can be overridden for one invoice from "Choose print language" when reprinting.

Where the receipt layout comes from

The whole design comes from the print templates the manager designs in the panel: logo, shop details, lines, totals and the QR code. The app downloads the templates once during sync and stores them, then fills them on the device with the invoice data, renders them to an image at paper width and sends it to the printer. That is why printing works without internet, and the printer needs no connection to the server. Designing templates is in Numbering and print templates.

Thermal printing renders as an image by default, so Arabic prints with its correct script on any ESC/POS printer. A template can request the faster text mode for printers that support it.

Reprinting

Open "Current shift" then the "Invoice" tab to see the shift's invoices. Tap an invoice to open its details with "Print" and "Choose print language". Each invoice carries its sync status: "Synced", "Not synced", "Error" or "Cancelled". An invoice created on another device does not appear here; the manager prints it from the panel.

"Printing failed"

Check "Printer status" in settings, then paper and power, and press "Test". For Bluetooth, pair again from the device settings if the printer changed. The invoice is saved regardless; reprint it from the shift after fixing the printer.

One printer for several devices

A network printer serves more than one cashier device in the same shop. Type its address on each device. In a restaurant, station printers are managed from the restaurant setup, as in Waiter device and kitchen display.

Frequently asked questions

Printing is slow on a Bluetooth printer. What can I do?

An 80 mm image is larger than 58 mm; make sure the paper size is right. If the printer supports Arabic text, the manager can set the template to the faster text mode.

I want to print the receipt in English for one customer

Open the invoice from the current shift, choose "Choose print language" and print. The default print language in settings stays as it is.

The manager changed the receipt template and mine did not change

Press "Sync now" in the top bar or "Sync items" in settings to download the new templates.
